The first SCAPE Developer Workshop will be held on the 6th and 7th of June, at AIT (Techgate Tower) in Vienna. See http://dme.ait.ac.at/ugc4glam/venue.html for more details on the location.
Apart from getting to know each other, the purpose of the workshop is to ensure the developers are familiar with the main parts of the SCAPE platform, particularly Taverna and Hadoop+HBASE, and to propose the initial tool integration plan. This plan will define how the PC (CC,PA,QA) tools should be prepared so that they are well-integrated with the other SCAPE components.
The twitter hashtag will be #SCAPEdev1
Attendance
If you wish to attend, please sign up here: http://www.scape-project.eu/events/6/first-scape-developers-workshop
Note that, in the spirit of an open source project, these meeting are not only for SCAPE members – any potential contributors or interested parties are welcome to attend. However numbers may be limited and SCAPE partners will get priority.
The HADOOP section will use the Cloudera training VM to make it easy to experiment with the platform. To make this work, please install VMWare Player, VMWare Fusion (OSX payware) or VirtualBox (Win/Lin/OSX freeware) on the machine you’ll be bringing along.
