The large and growing volume of data held in an increasing variety of relational databases presents a huge challenge to the archiving community.  In this practitioner and developer hackathon we will run requirements workshops and facilitate hands-on hack-sessions to address the issues of preserving databases. We will consider SIARD as a potential archiving standard and review its implementation at  the Danish National Archives as well as discussing other existing practical solutions, for example, MIXED and RODA etc.  During the event there will be demonstrations of existing tools as well as opportunities to discuss alternative solutions such as emulation.

h2. {color:#000000}Travel information{color}

A taxi from the airport to the city centre should cost between DKK 200-250 (\~ EUR 25-35). Taxis usually take international credit cards, but check with the driver to be sure.

A cheaper and almost as efficient way to get into to town is by train or metro. Both leave at regular intervals from the airport.
* For guests staying at Wake Up Copenhagen, it's easiest to take train to Copenhagen Central Station (Any train from the airport not heading to Sweden, should be fine). The hotel is a within 6-7 minutes walking distance from the Central Station
* For guests staying at Best Western City, it's easiest to take the metro from the airport to 'Kongens Nytorv' (The Kings New Square). The hotel is a within 4-5 minutes walking distance from the Metro.

{color:#000000}The archive is located approx. {color}{color:#000000}15 min. {color}{color:#000000}walking from Central Station and Nørreport Station and numerous bus routes meet at Christiansborg Castle Square near the National Archives. {color}{color:#000000}The nearest underground station is King's Square.{color}
