Digital Preservation Planning

There is an immediate and urgent need to develop a robust digital preservation planning procedure.  This, together with an audit of what is already there, is vital to building up a digital repository and a workable preservation strategy.  Certain tools need to be identified to enable this kind of work to be done:

Context

This is part of a wider attempt to develop a robust preservation strategy to a small but growing digital repository in an underfunded but large local authority.  The dataset is a small sample from a larger collection of digital assets with a variety of file types, descriptive metadata etc.
